WINES & OTHER DRINKS

  • WINES

More than 250 wines from Romania, France, Italy, Spain, Chile, Argentina, Hungary, Moldova and New Zealand. Can you imagine how many wines from so many parts of the world we had to taste before choosing those 250 in our library? It was not easy, but somebody had to do it ;).

      A World of Wines
So, according to our gleeful taste buds, they are the best we've found so far. But we always try new ones, we welcome feedback and suggestions with open arms and we update the list with new entries every week.
    • CHINESE TEAS

Teas are as varied and exciting as wines, specialty coffees and in general the products to which life and personality are brought by the terroir, by the art of picking and preparation, by age or freshness. They sometimes incite and mess our tastes, they nourish the body and, in the right climate, the spirit. We serve authentic teas, brought directly from China from small producers, carefully selected according to the season by our friend Panko, whose contagious passion also brought us on the tea road. And we serve them both by the cup and in gong fu style.

    • CHEESE

You can never have too much cheese. Yes, you got us. We love cheese. Fresh, semi-matured, but mostly very matured. Soft or hard. Made from raw milk and smelly or deliciously and naturally flavored with truffles, fruits or nuts. Produced locally or by renowned Italian and French producers. The selection ranges depending on the best products found in the season. And when we discover something new and interesting, we bring it to your attention.

    • DELI

There is a certain romance about craft products, especially when you know the producer and his story. The product somehow gets the energy and the passion with which it was created. This is how we chose, according to their story, karma and their product’s quality, our collaborators – and future friends – who now prepare especially for us all sorts of goodies, depending on the season, such as onion chutney, jams and syrups, all natural.

    • OLIVE OILS

      • The Journey
        The Journey
We fell in love with our olive oil in Croatia. On the Dalmatian coast – according to us, one of the most beautiful shores in the world – almost every local greets you with a "couvert", which usually is a small entrée, consisting of tasty bread and olive oil. Here, olive oil is any respectable restaurant’s statement. In one such highly appreciated place, which is part of Jeune Restaurateurs d'Europe – a sign of innovation and quality – we first ate the oil produced by the Belic family.
        • The Belic Family
          The Belic Family
We loved it so much that we went to meet the producers, to learn their story. So we met the Belic family and listened to them passionately introduce their olive oils. It all started with a small olive grove that Mr. Belic bought for his wife as a marriage anniversary gift. Today they have 5500 olive trees of carefully chosen sorts and they revitalized a few indigenous sorts of olives. They produce ten extra virgin single-sort olive oils, both from Italian and Istrian sorts, and one cuvee called Selekcija. With an attention similar to grapes’ processing, the olives are hand-picked to avoid any damage to the fruit, at the medium stage of ripening, carried in baskets of maximum 22 kg, cold-worked pressed within 24 hours and kept until bottling in air-proof stainless barrels. And it seems we weren’t the only ones who loved it so given that, as we found out, their oil won many international awards.

Conquered by their oil, their story and their warmth, after a glass from the champagne bottle they opened immediately to celebrate our meeting, we ended up bringing home three types of single sort olive oil (Frantoio, Leccino, Istarska bjelica) and the cuvee, introducing a Croatia-inspired appetizer at SAX.
