WINES
We offer one of the most complete, diverse, and value-laden wine selections in the State of Connecticut.
- DOMAINE DES MARRANS MORGON CORCELETTE 2016From the Michael Skurnik Imports description for this wine: "Farming practice: Certified Organic. Domaine des Marrans is located in Fleurie, in the heart of the northernmost section of Beaujolais. Founded in 1970, the current proprietor is the young and talented Mathieu Mélinand, who joined the family domaine in 2008. With old vines and crystalline granite sites, Mathieu is growing some of the most pristine Gamay we know. This lineup is remarkably pure and fresh for 2015, with a grain and spice to the old vine Gamay that underlines how Mathieu nailed the harvest date for this vintage. These wines display their terroir with clear definition and racy floral deliciousness."$24
- DOMAINE BLAIN COTE DE BROUILLY LES JUMEAUX 2014Domaine Blain was founded in 2014 when siblings Lucie and Marc-Antonin Blain acquired 14 acres of vineyards planted with old vines on the slopes of Mont Brouilly in Beaujolais. Marc-Antonin maintains the vineyards and vinifies the wine while Lucie runs the business. Les Jumeaux is Marc-Antonin’s favorite of his three Beaujolais wines, He said, “It is attractive when young but has potential to age.” Gamay has low tannins and refreshing acidity, making it an ideal red wine partner with dark fish such as grilled salmon or tuna. It can also be an excellent contrast to foods that are oily, fatty, or high in salt, such as saucisson sec or roasted meat. It is at home with classic bistro fare such as roast chicken or steak frites.$27
- CANTINA DEL PINO BARBARESCO 2012The pine tree in the Cantina del Pino logo was planted by the original owner of the property, Domizio Cavazza, who was the Director of the Royal Italian Oenological School, in the town of Alba. He planted it to celebrate the birth of his first son.$40

- FRATELLI ALESSANDRIA BAROLO 2014The Alessandria family is one of the first families to make wine in Verduno, in turn the first town to make wine in the style we now know as Barolo. Their regular Barolo blends grapes from the top 5 vineyards in Verduno, as well as a small percentage of fruit from their famous Gramolere vineyard in the Barolo Ur-village of Monforte d'Alba.$45
- FRATELLI ALESSANDRIA BAROLO GRAMOLERE 2014Gramolere is made exclusively from the Alessandria family's Gramolere vineyard in Monforte d'Alba, one of the classic highest-quality villages of the Barolo region. All Alessandria wines are rigorously organic, even if not certified as such.$65
BEER
- NEW ENGLAND BEER COMPANY SEA HAGNew England Beer Company's flagship beer pours in with a citrus, fruity nose and a crisp floral finish that is well balanced with it's Pilsner, Munich, and Crystal malt blend. A ghostly apparition reportedly skirts the shores of New Haven harbor; a whispy widow eternally searching for her lost-at-sea husband. It is truly a sad tale of loss. But hey! At least she's got a beer named after her, huh? ABV: 6.2% IBU'S: 65 HOPS: Columbus, Centennial, Amarillo, Citrar.$9.99
- VON TRAPP VIENNA LAGERFrom the Von Trapp Brewing website: "Named for the city that created the style, our amber lager is malt forward with a grassy, crackery hop aroma. A classic blend of German malts and hops develop lingering flavors of biscuit and caramel on the finish." ABV: 5.2%$9.99
- Omission Gluten-free LagerThe premium gluten-free lager in America! From the Omission website: "Omission Lager is a refreshing and crisp beer, brewed in the traditional lager style. Perfect for a variety of beer drinking occasions, Omission Lager’s aromatic hop profile offers a unique, easy-drinking beer for those looking for a lighter and approachable beer style."$10.50
- SIXPOINT BREWERY THE CRISP PILSNERFrom the Sixpoint Brewery website: "We went to Germany for this one. (Well went back really: we first devised this beer while counting yeast cells in a German lab, and sinking liters in underground caves.) Anyway, when it comes to German hops, American breweries get the leftovers… the less desirable plots, amalgamated into a “hop sausage.” Instead, at Sixpoint we go straight to the source for the prime cuts — the Tettnanger and Hallertau hops in THE CRISP are sourced 100% directly from farmers in Tettnang, Germany. This way we personally select what goes into our beers. Look, legit pilz should have an aroma that leaps from the glass, and the bright, floral aroma of THE CRISP absolutely blasts your nostrils. Follow that up with a crisp, clean finish, and you’ll be sinking this thing by the liter." ABV: 5.4%$11.24
- HALF FULL BREWERY PURSUIT IPAThe Pride of Stamford, Connecticut!! From the Half Full website: "This West Coast style IPA has a medium body, moderate bitterness, pine, citrus and floral notes, and rounds out with a smooth, dry finish." ABV: 7%$11.35
- INDUSTRIAL ARTS WRENCHGlenville Wine & Spirits Customers' favorite IPA, from one of our neighbors in New York's Hudson Valley! From the Industrial Arts website: "A pithy explosion of aroma and flavor, beyond hazy, and loaded with Mosaic and Citra to the point of stickiness." ABV: 6.8%$15
SPIRITS
- HIGH WEST AMERICAN PRAIRIE BOURBONHigh West Distillery was founded in 2006 by David Perkins and his wife, Jane. High West began with humble roots, opening a small, 250-gallon still and Saloon in an historic livery stable and garage. What was once a small operation in downtown Park City has grown to be an internationally-recognized brand with four unique locations. American Prairie Bourbon is a complex blend of straight bourbons producing an aromatic whiskey that helps preserve the West. The American Prairie Reserve in Montana is a 5000 Square mile land tract the size of Connecticut restored to what Lewis and Clark would have seen.$39
- HIGH WEST DOUBLE RYE! WHISKEYDouble Rye! combines a feisty high rye 2-year-old and a saddle smooth 16-year-old. We think the extra age and increased corn adds just enough caramel sweetness and woody vanilla richness to calm the “bite” of the younger rye for a relationship that works. Thanks to its balance of cinnamon, anise, and honey, High West Double Rye! stands on its own in cocktails, but is great served neat, with a little water, or on the rocks. Its spirited flavor fortifies classic cocktails like the Manhattan and Old Fashioned.$42
- HIGH WEST SILVER WHISKEY WESTERN OATHigh West Silver Whiskey® is remarkably versatile. Neat, on the rocks, in a classic cocktail, or wherever you'd use another "clear" spirit. Try an Old Fashioned-Old Fashioned, a Margarita, or a Silver Manhattan.$43
- HIGH WEST RENDEZVOUS RYE WHISKEYRendezvous Rye is our flagship whiskey. It honors the way rye whiskey used to be made, with a high rye content and full, uncompromised flavor. Great neat, with a little water, or on the rocks. The high rye mash bill also makes Rendezvous Rye perfect in one of the classic cocktails made with rye, like a Manhattan, an Old Fashioned, or a Sazerac. Our flagship whiskey commemorates the first recorded whiskey-fest out West. From 1825 to 1840, the “rendezvous” was the annual summer gathering of mountain men to exchange pelts for supplies.$58
- HIGH WEST CAMPFIRE WHISKEYHigh West Campfire is the world’s finest blend of scotch, bourbon and rye whiskeys. A very unusual, distinctive, yet delicious whiskey. One morning at the Bruichladdich distillery B&B, High West Founders David and Jane Perkins smelled peat in the air. The great ladies that made the meals were simmering a bottle of peated whiskey and sugar! Later that night, they brought out dessert of ripe honeydew drizzled with the peated syrup. That was the most unusual, delicious and memorable ending to a dinner they had ever had. The combination of melon and sweet smoke really worked - so (naturally...) David thought why not mix sweet bourbon and peat?$71
- HIGH WEST A MIDWINTER NIGHTS DRAMA limited release of High West Rendezvous Rye finished in French oak port barrels. The rye forms a beautiful base of vanilla, caramel and cinnamon; the port barrels enhance with plums and dried fruits; the French oak provides a spice accent. For us, A Midwinter Night’s Dram tastes like a proper Christmas plum pudding with lovely mulling spices, dried fruits, and crème anglaise. MND also pairs beautifully with fig cookies!$125
