Ice Cream
DAIRY BASED FLAVORS
Even though our flavors change a lot, one thing remains the same: all of our ice creams start with fresh cow's milk from nearby Brunton Dairy of Aliquippa, PA. After that, it gets a little crazy.
- Landlocked VanillaWe've partnered with our friends at Wigle Whiskey to create our flagship vanilla made with Barrel Aged Landlocked Rum vanilla extract. That's a mouthful to say, but it basically means that we made our own vanilla extract from Wigle's rum and aged it in their barrels. The result is an intensely flavored vanilla ice cream that's anything but...vanilla. Stop in and see for yourself.$3
- Dulcinea ChocolateJust like the Landlocked Vanilla, our Dulcinea Chocolate is also pretty special. The chocolate is made in small batches with organic, fair trade cocoa beans by the loving hands of Dulcinea Chocolate in Beaver, PA. This ice cream is richly chocolatey yet never too sweet. It's like your favorite chocolate ice cream went away to Europe for the summer and came back with an air of sophistication.$3
- Salty Goat CaramelHoly cow (Holy goat?), this ice cream is good! Creamy caramel ice cream is mixed with sea salt and plenty of goat milk chèvre from River View Dairy Farm in Callensburg, PA to create this decadent and subtly salty treat. You've heard it before and we can agree, happy goats make some pretty darn good chèvre!$3
- Honey NutterHoney Nutter starts with some seriously creamy peanut butter ice cream and as if that's not good enough, we add a generous drizzle of Bedillion Farm's honey, located in Hickory, PA. It's so good it will make you want to hug a bee. Warning: Bee hugging not suggested by Pittsburgh Ice Cream Company.$3
- Beet n' GoatNot only is it really, really pretty - it's pretty good for you too! This creative ice cream has the perfect balance of sweetness and earthiness. Made with Clarion River Organics beets and River View Dairy's goat cheese and goat's milk yogurt, this is a delightful way to enjoy vegetables in your dessert. It sure *beets* eating vegetables for dinner! (See what I did there?)$3
- Fresh Picked Mint ChipWe partnered with our friends at Grow Pittsburgh to make this minty chunky masterpiece. Mint is harvested from their farms around town and coupled with vanilla ice cream and chunks of chocolate. It's the perfect combination of cool, smooth and sweet. (What a coincidence, my friends describe me the same way!)$3
- TurmericYou knew that ice cream was good for your soul, now it's good for your health, too! Turmeric ice cream is a subtly sweet and satisfyingly spicy take on the healthy turmeric tea called golden milk. Turmeric contains powerful antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties while ice cream contains powerful happiness and day-making properties. We think that this combo is a match made in heaven.$3

- Strawberry Traminette SorbetFresh, sweet strawberries and a refreshing white wine make the perfect pair in our Strawberry Traminette Sorbet. 6 Mile Winery, located in Erie, PA, supplies the traminette, a low-acidity fruity white wine with bright grapefruit and pear characteristics. The two flavors pair perfectly together and, just like a good wine, gets even better after the second helping.$3
- Blackberry MerlotThis super sophisticated berry and wine pairing is rich, dark, and really refreshing. Plummy and velvety merlot perfectly compliment sweet blackberries for a seriously good dairy-free delight. Eating the pint with your pinky up is completely optional but highly suggested.$3
- Watermelon SageBright juicy watermelons courtesy of Clarion River Organics mingles with the unmistakable flavor of fresh sage from the gardens of Grow Pittsburgh. The result? A bright and satisfying treat that demonstrates the beauty of two local products working perfectly together in the best way possible.$3
- Blueberry Basil SorbetYour little Italian grandmother has had basil growing in her garden for years, probably right next to grandpa's blueberry bushes. Next time they're visiting the city, throw Granny and Pops for a loop by treating them to the best combo of their summer favorites with Blueberry Basil sorbet. Sweet, fragrant basil pairs with tart blueberries for a sorbet with great character and timeless memories of summers spent with the fam.$3
